History of Our Firm
Becker Kemp opened our doors in 2013. But our roots began in London in the late 1990’s. We assisted Bafana Bafana soccer players in their contractual negotiations with clubs in the United Kingdom post the African Nations Cup.
Since then our lawyers have advised some of the biggest names and brands in the sports, media and entertainment industry. These include International Cricket Council, World Rugby, SA Rugby, Cricket SA, Princess Haya of Jordan, Great Britain SAILGP, multiple golf major winners, World Cup Rugby captains, Olympic athletes such as Sir Ben Ainslie, Michael Johnson and Chad le Clos and world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
Our lawyers have appeared on BBC Breakfast, SABC and eTV, contributed to international publications, led investigations both in South Africa and abroad, and provided expert testimony.
